From San Diego, head east on I-8 to the Mission Gorge/Fairmount Avenue exit. Turn left, go under the overpass and head north on Mission Gorge Road for approximately 5 miles. Turn left at Father Junipero Serra Trail. Park along the road or at the visitor’s center. Look for the climbers loop trail on the right side of the road down Father Junipero Serra Trail.

When to Climb

This crag faces West, so expect to be in the shade until 10 or 11am. After that, the crag will warm up significantly. Be sure to have your vehicle out of the park by the posted time (5pm/7pm depending on the time of year) or you may be ticketed.
