  • Unwelcome sexual comments, advances, or behavior

  • Unwanted physical contact or invasion of personal space

  • Bullying, intimidation, threats, or abusive behavior

  • Discriminatory conduct based on characteristics protected by applicable federal, state, or local law

  • Repeated unwanted contact or communications

This policy applies to conduct occurring in connection with the organization’s programs, services, events, meetings, fundraising activities, online communities, social media, electronic communications, and other activities conducted on behalf of or associated with Allied Climbers Of San Diego.

Anyone who believes they have experienced or witnessed harassment is encouraged to report the concern promptly. Reports will be taken seriously and handled as appropriately and confidentially as reasonably possible.

Allied Climbers Of San Diego prohibits retaliation against anyone who, in good faith, reports a concern, raises a complaint, requests assistance, or participates in an investigation. Knowingly making a false report, however, may be subject to appropriate action.

When a concern is reported, the organization will review the matter and take appropriate action based on the circumstances. Violations of this policy may result in corrective or disciplinary action, up to and including removal from an event or program, termination of volunteer or employment relationships, removal from a board or leadership position, or termination of other organizational relationships, as appropriate.
