March 5th Restore Bernardo Mountain at Lake Hodges

We are trying to replant an area of native vegetation that is extremely important to the Coastal cactus wren and California gnatcatcher. This trail is a great running trail, and MANY people recreate in the area. This is a great chance to show people that we give back all over the county and for any type of recreation. This will have a long-lasting impact. We really need volunteers for this one! You will be planting native plants to help restore a vital piece of habitat along the watershed. All work materials will be provided. Come in appropriate work clothes ready to get your hands dirty! There will be some climbing-related prizes at the end!

When: 8:00 am until 12:00pm

Where: Meet us at Del Dios Park off Lake Drive in Escondido. For more information please contact us via this page or call Leana Bulay at (760) 716-1214 or email at Leana@sdrp.org
