Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer positions for Annual Celebration
Planning for the ACSD annual celebration is in full swing. To make the effort as successful as possible, we are looking for volunteers in a
number of capacities. Do you know someone who can provide food, drinks, bartending, supplies or donations? Can you provide any of those items
or services? Can you help with the day-of setup and operations? Contact Renee Schlocker at
rschlocker@hotmail.com to volunteer!
Are you a facebook fanatic? A master tweeter? A media guru? ACSD needs you! We are seeking a media manager to keep our members up to date
on the latest climbing news via our Facebook, Twitter, and monthly newsletter. For more information and a full position description, check
out the position description and contact Adam Kimmerly at akimmerly@alliedclimbers.org if
you're interested.
Over the Edge for K.I.T.
On August 20, 2011 the West coast's tallest waterfront building will once again be the setting for the 3rd annual fundraising event that
challenged and inspired Southern California: Over the Edge for KIT. Experience a breathtaking 360 view from the top of San Diego and push
yourself to the limit by rappelling from the 33rd story of the spectacular Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego. The rappel begins at 8AM for
participants, descending a height of approximately 357 feet in roughly 10 minutes from the hotel's Harbor tower. Friends, family and supporters
can cheer on participants from the poolside Landing Party, featuring food, music, games and family-friendly entertainment. Funds raised support
Kids Included Together (KIT), a San Diego based non-profit that supports recreational, child development, and youth development programs that
include children with and without disabilities. If you are interested in participating as a volunteer from ACSD (and rappelling 33 stories
straight down), Please contact Angie Egner at treasurer@alliedclimbers.org.
