ACSD Members Clean up Mt Woodson Graffiti

Created on Saturday, 05 February 2011

With a great deal if disappointment, local climbers and ACSD members noticed some new graffiti had shown up around the "Jaws" area of Mt Woodson. It wasn't long before they started plotting a way to eradicate it. Led by Josh Higgins, they arranged permission from the land managers, got a key to the gate to haul water and supplies up the steep road with a vehicle, and acquired a bottle of a key ingredient from the ACSD supply cabinet - a biodegradable graffiti remover called Taginator.

Over a dozen volunteers showed up to help spray, scrub, and wash the graffiti away, and the "Jaws" boulder was returned to all of its paint free, pain-inflicting glory. Thanks to Josh for organizing the event, and thanks to all the climbers that provided the necessary elbow grease.
