Poway Crag Nesting Closure - 2011/2012

Poway Crag is home to a seasonally active raptor nest in the area of the Ramona & Miller Time Walls. To help ensure that human disturbance does not impact these nesting raptors, a closure of these two walls is in effect annually from December 15th through August 31st.
Seasonal Nesting Advisories
Not only are local San Diego crags great climbing destinations, many of them are also home to raptors. Beginning some time between December and March, they begin their courtship and nesting behavior.
ACSD Partners With MTRP
Allied Climbers of San Diego (ACSD) and Mission Trails Regional Park have teamed up to provide clearer information on the Climbers' Loop Trail in Mission Gorge.
